M-2500 REBUILT RINGMULLOR

As illustrated on the enclosed brochure, the Ringmullor is divided into two compartments: cooling and tempering. The cooling compartment cools hot sand, blends the sand with bond additives and adds approximately 80% of the water required for the sand to reach the tempered state. The Ringmullor creates its own air draft by the drum rotation, thus inducing air into the machine to cause evaporation of water, which reduces the sand temperature.

After the Ringmullor cools the sand to an acceptable mulling temperature, the batch is transferred to the tempering compartment where the sand is mulled, aerated and brought to tempered moisture content. The cool tempered molding sand is discharged; producing extremely fine casting finishes.

Description: M-2500 Batch Ringmullor (Rebuilt)

Model Number: M-2500

Design Characteristics

The Model M-2500 Batch Ringmullor is complete with 100 HP, 1800 RPM, TEFC main drive motor and 30 HP, 1800 RPM, TEFC aerator motor and V-Belt drives. Cooling compartment includes: loading chute; mixing plow; water spray nozzle complete with piping and hand water valve; air operated transfer plow and chute assembly. Mulling compartment includes: two pivot mounted 20” diameter x 6” wide steel mulling wheels, positioned and pressured by air actuation with hand valve and pressure regulator; rotary power driven brush type aerator with hardened renewable steel sprigs, V-Belt drive from separate motor, mounted in a swing frame positioned by air cylinder; air operated discharge plow and chute assembly. Water strainer, air filter and lubricator are included. This mullor will be furnished with a castable drum liner.

Also included will be all of the required safety guards for the Ringmullor. All moving parts are totally enclosed with steel mesh guards. Safety switches are attached with each guard so if the guard is removed, the Ringmullor will automatically shut off, thus reducing the possibility of the service personnel being injured. Also to be included with the safety package is a lubricating system so the necessary components may be lubricated without totally removing any of the mullor safety guards.

In order to achieve optimum performance, a dust collector capable of handling moist air is recommended. Air volume capacity on the M-1000 and M-1500 Ringmullors should be 2500 CFM, while the M-2500 and CM-2500 models require 3500 CFM. Air velocity should not exceed 4500 FPM to avoid extracting additives and sand fines from the cooling compartment.

Please Note:

State Engineering rebuild of an M-2500 Ringmullor will consist of the following:

The Ringmullor will have a complete tear-down then sand blasted to a grey metal finish. A protective epoxy finish will be applied on the interior side walls. A new drum along with new seals, cylinders, sheaves, chutes, plows, plow brackets, v-belts, bearings, valves and wiring, Guard package, etc. will be included. New bearings are to be installed in both motors, and inspected at this time.

(1) One coat of grey primer and (2) two coats of finish enamel paint will be applied.

The rebuild will be provided with a (1) one year guarantee for manufacturing defects, less wear items or purchased parts.

All work is to be preformed at States Engineering’s facility.
